The Social Housing with Support Program is intended to accommodate homeless adults with complex needs and provide them with a range of customized support services to help them obtain and maintain housing. This program has two key objectives:

  1. Improve the lives of homeless people by giving them access to a range of support services to increase their housing stability and quality of life, including mental health community support, psychiatric evaluation, monitoring by a community physician, group addiction treatment or occupational therapy.
  2. Assist housing providers in maintaining healthy and safe living environments while providing housing for homeless people.

Eligibility for the program is determined by the City of Ottawa’s Housing First program coordinator, based on several criteria, including the number of days of homelessness in recent years. For a service request, check with the City of Ottawa’s emergency shelters or contact us at 613.424.3400.
