Following your withdrawal phase, you can enter our Day Program for more support during your recovery and to prepare for additional treatment. Sessions are from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday to Friday, for three weeks. New clients are accepted each week. Topics covered in group educational counselling include relapse prevention, coping with stress, relaxation techniques, nutrition and assertiveness. You will also be offered opportunities to participate in art therapy and acupuncture, and to obtain one-on-one counselling. If you want to explore further treatment, you will be offered an assessment with the Ottawa Addiction Access and Referral Services (OAARS).
Advance registration is required to participate in this program.
Unfortunately, this is not a drop-in service.
This program is voluntary and may be appropriate if you:
- have a safe, supportive living environment
- do not have immediate medical issues
- have completed the acute withdrawal phase.
