Under Steve Vachon’s leadership, the Service Access to Recovery has been recognized as an innovative service!

Montfort Renaissance is proud to announce that Accreditation Canada has recognized the Service Access to Recovery (SAR) as an innovative, safe and effective client-centred program and has awarded it the title of “Best Practice”.

The SAR is the centralized access mechanism towards treatment for addiction and concurrent disorders in the Ottawa region. The service allows people to navigate the healthcare system to find the addictions treatment options that are right for them, from over 40 programs offered by some 20 agencies funded by the Champlain LHIN, including hospitals.

The SAR provides a single point of access to addiction and concurrent disorders services, which facilitates the admission process not only for clients but also for partner organizations. Client screening and assessment by SAR navigators provide a more appropriate referral to the right programs and services, based on the specific needs of clients. The SAR services are fully bilingual and evaluated 2700 people with more than 2660 referrals to treatment last year.

Congratulations to the SAR!
