Elizabeth Tanguay appointed Executive Director of Montfort Renaissance

Ottawa, February 21, 2025 – The Board of Directors of Montfort Renaissance is pleased to announce the appointment of Elizabeth Tanguay as Executive Director, effective June 2, 2025. She will succeed Jeanne-Hélène Tardivel, who will begin a well-deserved retirement after 20 years of service.

With twenty-five years of experience in both the private and public healthcare sectors, Elizabeth brings invaluable expertise to ensure the growth and sustainability of Montfort Renaissance. As Director of the Ontario Health Team (OHT) Archipel, she played a key role in integrating healthcare across Ontario, leading the merger of the eastern Ottawa OHT and the developing Prescott-Russell team. This initiative aimed to structure a multisectoral network coordinating a continuum of care and services for 200,000 people, while ensuring the implementation of strategic objectives related to population health, digital solutions, and shared governance. Her leadership, grounded in collaboration and equitable resource optimization, allowed her to build strong partnerships across the region, a crucial skill for driving Montfort Renaissance’s growth.

“We are thrilled to welcome Elizabeth Tanguay to lead Montfort Renaissance. Her expertise and commitment to equity and excellence in care and services will be assets to the organization,” said Roger Régimbal, Chair of the Board of Directors of Montfort Renaissance.

The Montfort Renaissance Board of Directors approved Elizabeth Tanguay’s appointment following an extensive recruitment process conducted across the province. “The selection committee was impressed by the number of exceptional candidates, reflecting the significant role Montfort Renaissance plays in the local community,” added Hélène Nadeau, Vice-Chair of the Board of Directors.

“The opportunity to contribute to the well-being of vulnerable populations in Eastern Ontario, whom Montfort Renaissance serves, is a powerful motivation for me. I am honored to join such a wonderful and large team whose daily work has a tangible impact on the lives of individuals often facing complex challenges related to mental health, addictions, homelessness, or age-related vulnerabilities,” said Elizabeth Tanguay.

Under her leadership, Montfort Renaissance will continue its mission to provide innovative and inclusive services that improve the quality of life for the most vulnerable individuals in our region.
